Execution was decent until towards the end. Was not able to prevent or negotiate against a buyer retrade.

I would not recommend avoiding Petsky, but have had better experiences with other ibanks.
Judgment
Petsky was a bit heavy handed on aggressive next 12 months forecasts. This had a negative affect on final closing and earnout.

What recommendations would you make to other businesses considering engaging this Firm?

Aggressive forecasts are helpful for front end marketing purposes, but sellers have to live with next 12 months while ibank does not. Be careful in vetting out next 12 months assumptions that your ibank is promising to your buyer.

Anticipate earnout circumstances more proactively on behalf of client and structure forecasts and negotiations better accordingly
