Typosquatting, also known as URL hijacking or domain mimicry, is a deceptive practice where malicious actors register domain names similar to popular or legitimate websites but with slight typographical errors. The intention behind typosquatting is to trick users who make spelling or typing errors into visiting these fraudulent websites instead of the intended ones.
