Fork

A Fork refers to a situation where a blockchain network or digital currency splits into two separate paths, resulting in the creation of a new version or cryptocurrency. This occurs when there is a fundamental disagreement or update in the underlying technology or rules of the network, leading to a divergence in the blockchain's history. As a result, holders of the original cryptocurrency may receive an equal amount of the new cryptocurrency, with each version following its own distinct path and set of rules.
