Distributed Ledger Technology
DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) replicates, shares, and synchronizes transactions in their digital ledgers using nodes, which are separate computers dispersed geographically. Unlike classic ledgers, the data is not retained or stored in a single location, and there is no centralized ledger or owner/administrator. The blockchain system is the most well-known kind of distributed ledger. Blockchain technology is not utilized by all DLTs, though.
