Total value locked (TVL) is a statistic widely employed in decentralized finance (DeFi) to calculate the entire value of assets locked inside a specific network or protocol. It denotes the sum of all the cryptocurrency acquisitions (typically in terms of their market value) presently locked or kept within the smart arrangements of a particular DeFi application.
